Getting back to blogging

I started this a while ago - and now I'm ready to make it work.

Welcome to my spot of eclectic software experiences. I've just started to work on putting PHP and MySQL up on one the websites I manage. I'll be journalling that experience as well as well as my experiences with various software, such as one of my favorites: Evernote.

I've been using O'Reilly books extensively and just attended the 10 week XML Web Design course that was very interesting and forward looking.

More to come.

Opening Post

This is a z/OS mainframe blog with presentations, articles and thoughts on z/OS (IBM mainframe) matters. It will also explore the experiences of a mainframer learning Linux and preparing for the Linux+ certification using Ubuntu ... and relating it back to the mainframe z/OS Unix environment.

The name 'Techno Cartographer' stems from my years of teaching and mapping out technology for friends and conference attendees.

Welcome!

Resource - IBM RACF presentations

Be sure to check out the RACF presentations page for reference materials dating back several years.

Some of the presentations, particularly Audit and Unix topics were given by me at various conferences.
